Today's Favorite Verse: Micah 7:5-6

"Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.

For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house."

As I pondered on this I realized it was saying "Trust not in the arm of flesh". Yes, I understand the prophesy that even families will be divided against each other, but it really boils down to where should your trust be. It should always be to God, for he will never forsake you if you remain faithful to Him.

"Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD."

(Jeremiah 17:5)

"Cursed is he that putteth his trust in man, or maketh flesh his arm, or shall hearken unto the precepts of men, save their precepts shall be given by the power of the Holy Ghost."

(2 Nephi 28:31)

"The weak things of the world shall come forth and break down the mighty and strong ones, that man should not counsel his fellow man, neither trust in the arm of flesh—"

(Doctrine and Covenants 1:19)

When the days of these prophesies are fulfilled the only place of peace is Zion. If you haven't sought God long before that you wouldn't know where to find it.

"And it shall come to pass among the wicked, that every man that will not take his sword against his neighbor must needs flee unto Zion for safety.

And there shall be gathered unto it out of every nation under heaven; and it shall be the only people that shall not be at war one with another."

(Doctrine and Covenants 45:68-69)
