Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 21:4, 9-10, 12-13

Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 21:4, 9-10, 12-13
"And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.
And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.
And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus.
And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.
Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."

I found it interesting that Paul an apostle had disciples, four virgins, a prophet called Agabus and others tell him not to go to Jerusalem. Yet, Paul did not listen to them. I thought about authority and who would have the greater claim to revelation and being inspired on his journeys. It would have been Paul. I thought about how we are not to counsel our leaders. We may think we know better but Paul's going to Jerusalem ultimately has a greater purpose. He was on the Lord's errand. His will was the Lord's will. His days would not be shortened until he completed it.
