Today's Favorite Verse: 2 Kings 21:1-3

Today's Favorite Verse: 2 Kings 21:1-3
"Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzi-bah.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them."

I found these verse incredibly sad to the point I wept. I had just finish reading the previous two chapters with king Hezekiah. He was a good man and how could he have a son just turn it all away. Hezekiah got rid of the high places and groves and once he was dead his son brings them all back. I know what Isaiah had prophesied to king Hezekiah about his posterity, but it just happened so quickly. It's just so sad.
