Today's Favorite Verse: Leviticus 22:19-20

Today's Favorite Verse: Leviticus 22:19-20 "Ye shall offer at your own will a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats. But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you."

The Lord will only accept an offering without blemish. It cannot be blind, broken, maimed, wen (wart), scurvy, or scabbed. At first that looks like a prejudice against anyone flawed in any way. Then I pondered on how this sacrifice was in a similitude of the Savior. He was without flaw or blemish, he gave an infinite and eternal sacrifice.

"How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?"
(Hebrew 9:14)

"But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:"
(1 Peter 1:19)
