Today's Favorite Verse: Leviticus 17:13-14

Today's Favorite Verse: Leviticus 17:13-14
"And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.
For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off."

While reading this chapter I couldn't keep from thinking of my mother. Such a very odd thing to place with her. I remember her telling me how her parents would make blood pudding and she really loved it. The sound of it was so gross to me. I knew it was made from pigs blood but I had no other knowledge of what it entailed. I actually finally stopped while reading this chapter to go find some videos on it, so I could learn more about what it was. I wish I had asked my mother more questions, like which side of the family did her parents learn to make this? My father never spoke of having eaten blood pudding. It doesn't appear to be something his family did. As I watched videos from people in Ireland making blood pudding it made me wonder about those brick walls on my mother's side of the family. Now I feel a need to pick up some of those brick wall ancestors and take another look. Who still needs their temple ordinances so they are not cut off.
