Today's Favorite Verse: Ezra 6:7
"Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in his place."
Darius renews the decree of Cyrus to build the temple. This part of the decree made me think about the role of government in preserving religious liberty and the ability to allow people to worship God according to their own conscience. Which reminded me of the 10th Article of Faith.
"We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may."
