"And then Alma cried unto the Lord, saying: O Lord our God, have mercy on this man, and heal him according to his faith which is in Christ.
And when Alma had said these words, Zeezroom leaped upon his feet, and began to walk; and this was done to the great astonishment of all the people; and the knowledge of this went forth throughout all the land of Sidom.
And Alma baptized Zeezrom unto the Lord; and he began from that time forth to preach unto the people."
In this chapter it tells how Zeezrom fearing that Alma and Amulek were killed was wracked with such guilt for his iniquities that fell ill with a burning fever. He was upon his bed sick with a burning fever when he heard Alma and Amulek were there in Sidom. He calls them to him and stretches out his hand for them to heal him. As Alma cries out for him to be healed I thought about how its always according to our faith and the Lord's will. In the next verse I see that the Lord's will is acknowledged for Zeezrom is miraculous healed as a witness to the people. This in turn opens the door for people to be receptive to Zeezrom preaching to them. I pondered on how this experience must have affected Zeezrom, and how powerful his witness and testimony of repentance and forgiveness would be to others. There is purpose in all that we go through.
