"And the day cometh that the words of the book which were sealed shall be read upon the house tops; and they shall be read by the power of Christ; and all things shall be revealed unto the children of men which ever have been among the children of men, and which ever will be even unto the end of the earth."
Nephi quotes Isaiah 29 and I have to say it is one of the clearest chapters of Isaiah for me. The sealed book are the golden plates that Joseph Smith received from the hand of Moroni, and translated into the the Book of Mormon. Two-thirds of those plates were sealed and Joseph Smith was not given permission to translate them. "..the things that are sealed shall not be delivered in the day of the wickedness and abominations of the people. Wherefore the book shall be kept from them." (2 Nephi 27:8) So right now they are kept from us, until we are righteous. I do not take that as the world being righteous, but that the saints are righteous.
How many hearts were changed this day because fathers and sons blessed the sacrament in their homes. It's almost like the pandemic had to cover the globe so this event could take place among the saints. It will not be just a one time event either. We will be given more opportunities until the lessons to be learned from this have been written on our hearts.
Over and over again in the last few General Conferences we are told we are preparing for the second coming of Jesus Christ. How I would love it if we as a people were ready to read the sealed portion of the book. Being read from the house tops sure sounds like they will arrive via electronic means to our homes. The inspiration for man to develop this technology comes from the power of Christ. At this point I'm trying to be ready for just about anything to happen.
