"The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet; they break forth into singing."
I thought this verse fitting to ponder on given all that happened today. It's like the world is shutting down and all will be quiet in a short amount of time. Today there is panic in the stores as people are preparing at the last minute to shelter in their homes. My children that have left the church ventured out today and saw the chaos first hand in the stores. What we have quietly been doing for a long time doesn't seem so foolish now to them. Home truly feels like a refuge from the storm and a place of peace. Now is the time as the saints of God rest, to be quiet and know that the Lord is King. This verse reminds me it is a good time to sing praises to Him. All of this brings peace.
