Today's Favorite Verse: Doctrine & Covenants 81:6
"And if thou art faithful unto the end thou shalt have a crown of immortality, and eternal life in the mansions which I have prepared in the house of my Father."
What a beautiful promise. I pondered on how immortality would not be possible if Jesus Christ had not risen from the dead. He has prepared a place for us with the Father, if we remain faithful. I would gladly take the smallest of cottages in heaven to only be there.
"Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life."
(2 Nephi 31:20)
"And, if you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God."
(Doctrine and Covenants 14:7)
