Today's Favorite Verse: Ezekiel 34:2
"Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?"
What are they feed with? The good word of God.
“And after they had been received unto baptism, and were wrought upon and cleansed by the power of the Holy Ghost, they were numbered among the people of the church of Christ; and their names were taken, that they might be remembered and nourished by the good word of God, to keep them in the right way, to keep them continually watchful unto prayer, relying alone upon the merits of Christ, who was the author and the finisher of their faith”
(Moroni 6:4)
I thought about how our families and children are also our flocks. That its just as important to feed them the word of God. Perhaps, even a greater responsibility for us to do so. My family was already reading the scriptures daily before "Come, Follow Me" was implemented. I can see how now, even more than ever, that daily feeding of the soul is needed not just in personal scripture reading, but with our families also.
