Today's Favorite Verse: Isaiah 39:2, 6
"And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD."
It made me think of individuals I have seen show off the things they have organized and have stored. They are very pleased with what they have and want to have others admit them too. I cannot really fault them. When I clean or organize something I would love to share how neat and pretty it looks. I have always held back because its just not a wise thing to do. You never know who is watching and what their intent is. This is exactly what happened to Hezekiah after showing off all that he had to men from Babylon. This story in the bible is an example of wisdom we are to apply in our every day life.
