Today's Favorite Verse: Isaiah 27:11
"When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour."
I pondered on the people destroyed that had no understanding. Wouldn't that seem unfair if they didn't understand what they were doing? Then I thought of those that turned their back on God, or had no faith in him. Would you say they had no understanding? I think the meaning then is they did not seek to understand God. In such a state they had no understanding or comprehension of who God was. It was a choice to not know Him.
