Today's Favorite Verse: Deuteronomy 5:29
"O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!"
When I read this I could feel sorrow in it. How many times have I said "I wish [this person] would only listen, instead of having to do it the hard way." God knows us individually, he knows the end from the beginning. It must pain Him terribly to know some of us are just going to mess up. Life would not be so hard if we would only fear God and keep his commandments.
