"And behold, there was not a living soul among all the people of the Nephites who did doubt in the least the words of all the holy prophets who had spoken; for they knew that it must needs be that they must be fulfilled.
And it hath become expedient that I, according to the will of God, that the prayers of those who have gone hence, who were the holy ones, should be fulfilled according to their faith, should make a record of these things which have been done."
Mormon is speaking to us in this chapter. I pondered on how it must have felt to know you were fulfilling prophecy by what you were doing. He was abridging the Nephite records as a promise the Lord had give to earlier generations and prophets. He was the means of their preservation.
Then I realized that I am living in days prophesied of too. I can either be one of the faithful followers of Christ, prepared for his second coming, or one that apostasizes and falls away. I know these are the days prophesied of long ago. I have no doubt of it. May I remain strong and faithful.
