Today's Favorite Verse: Mosiah 14:2
"For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground; he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him there is no beauty that we should desire him."
I cannot picture that the Savior would be homely or ugly. Yet this verse I often think that is what it is saying. Then I pondered on it, and thought about what the world considers beauty, and how that is often achieved by falsehood and deception. It can set an unachievable standard. Seriously, how many women right now are worried about their roots showing? In that light I could picture the Savior being a good looking man, but not considered beautiful by worldly standards. He would not put on airs that would make worldly crowds desire him. Only those attracted to light would recognize the Lord when they see him.
