Today's Favorite Verse: Joshua 15:63
"As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day."
I did a little digging on the history of Jebus and Jebusites. The Jebusites were a Canaanite tribe that inhabited what was later called Jerusalem. Before that it was called Salem, or Uru-Salem. Until then I didn't realize salem is the last part of the name Jerusalem. King David conquer Jerusalem from the Jebusites and established it as his capital.
