Today's Favorite Verse: Leviticus 14:43-44
"And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after that he hath taken away the stones, and after he hath scraped the house, and after it is plastered;
Then the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house: it is unclean."
The fretting leprosy is mold or mildew that eats or consumes the house. It tells how to cleanse the house and if it comes back it is destroyed. I thought of a couple of things as I pondered on this. The first, is service projects that priests or young men perform in my ward. Sounds like they had them even back in Moses time. The other was how not only mold but anything that eats at or consumes at us needs to be purged and cleansed. If you do not take care at the begin when something is first infected then it can grow out of control. That can be any type of sin, or just simply a lack of care and obedience to duty. I thought about how sacred our homes are and how we must work to make them clean.
